Charlotte Day was born with music in her blood, and with a Welsh father and an Irish mother, this comes as no surprise! From a very young age, her versatile and distinctive voice has ensured that she is no stranger in the company of seasoned musicians. Thriving on the live music scene, Charlotte began her career singing with many local bands. She was inspired by the best vocalists of their time, ranging from the likes of Annie Lennox through The Carpenters and Abba to the great soul divas such as Anita Baker and Aretha Franklin.

It wasn’t long before Charlotte was astounding audiences far and wide and at the age of seventeen she signed her first development deal. This marked the next stage in her career and allowed her to expand on studio techniques and production as well as giving her the opportunity to write more of her own material. In 1998 Charlotte had international acclaim with the release of her debut single 'Sure Shot' by Daytona. Subsequently, collaboration with other writers and producers led to further recording success as well as many appearances on TV and radio.

In 1999 Charlotte became a member of one of Manchester’s finest jazz quartets - The A T Band. At that time, Aidan Townend musician and director of the band, was in search of a lead vocalist, and knew that Charlotte would be the perfect choice. Over the last decade, Charlotte and Aidan have continued working together on various projects, and have also penned songs for the likes of Sarah Harding (Girls Aloud) and others. The A T Band has also now expanded into The A T Orchestra, featuring some of the Northwest’s most talented musicians, performing at large scale events up and down the country. With a wealth of experience behind her, Charlotte now has an extensive profile not only as an artist in her own right and an accomplished singing coach, but also as a member of various production teams. These include 'Soda Club' with whom Charlotte performed and co-wrote for their 2004 album 'Anthem Alert', and top remixers 'Love To Infinity' who had a number one UK club chart hit with ‘Finally’ in November 2005. Check out the video on the homepage (as seen on MTV etc.) 'Finally' and 'Anthem Alert' are both available to purchase from Amazon or iTunes

More recently, Charlotte has been focusing on her latest project ‘Belle de Jour’ which is a collaboration with songwriter Carrie Hamer. Charlotte met Carrie in 2002, and they have written together ever since. After recently completing their second studio album, ‘Life’s Twisted Thread’, they have put together a live band for future showcases, and are looking to license their music worldwide.
